This extension enables communication between GDevelop projects and the remote companion application.

Installation Steps

Download the Extension

Obtain the extension file from the official GitHub releases page.

Open Extensions Manager

Access the Extensions section through Project Manager in GDevelop.

Click Import Extension

Use the "+" button within the Extensions interface.

Select Extension File

Select "Import Extension" option located at the bottom left of the search dialog.

Select Extension File

Navigate to and select the downloaded gdevelop_remote_companion.json file from your computer.

Extension Installed

The extension now appears in your available extensions list and is ready to use in your project.

How to Use

Add "Initialize GD Remote" Action

Add the "Initialize GD Remote" event action to any of your scenes.

💡 You only need one of this action in your app so it can communicate with the remote.
